Discussion On The Importance Of Ethical Products: Interview with Blogger, Chic Ethique

I actually took a class on environmental science while in my last year of university! It was totally unrelated to my course of study, but it taught me a lot about better ways to produce everything from beauty products to food. The information I gathered has helped me make decisions on the products I use every day.
2. When you first started incorporating ethical products into your routine, what kind of changes did you notice?
I love this question! I noticed several changes when I started this journey, but overall I would say that I’ve been pleasantly surprised by how well products can still work without incorporating more negative production practices. I started really caring about the health of my hair around the time I made this change, and my hair is longer and stronger than it’s been in years, thanks in part to Burgati’s leave-in conditioner!
3. What is the most difficult part about buying ethically? Do you have any tips that make it easier?
Unfortunately, buying ethically means you have to pay a lot of attention to the labels on products, and the practices of various brands. Sometimes it means saying goodbye to a brand you previously loved. It requires a conscious effort, but there are many amazing online resources sharing the practices of various beauty brands. If you’re just starting this journey, I recommend searching the web for natural and cruelty free beauty blogs and YouTube channels. They are so helpful!
There are so many amazing clothing shops with equally amazing ethics policies! A few of my favorites include Everlane, People Tree, Reformation, and Eileen Fisher.
